The Realization of a Dream: The Photographs of Edward Curtis
September 4–October 25 2018
In celebration of the sesquicentennial of photographer Edward Curtis’ birth, the Minnetonka Center for the Arts presents an exhibition highlighting his landmark body of work. Curated by leading Curtis scholar Christopher Cardozo, the exhibit features large-scale prints made from Curtis’ negatives as well as original Curtis photographs. Curtis regarded his sitters as co-creators in his work; together they achieved a profound human record which speaks strongly to us today.
